QØ Facilitators and Community Team Members provide specialized advice for each venture. Advisors from startup companies & top-tier MBA programs guide each venture and meet with you during the first and second weekend. Industry specialists who teach specific startup skills to you and your team.
3. What qualities are the admissions committee looking for?
We look for students who are driven, team-oriented, resourceful, and sow a passion for entrepreneurship in some capacity. We don't ask for GPA or test scores.
4. What does the application process entail?
QØ has a two stage admissions process: 1) Video application 2) Virtual interview. We accept students on a rolling basis. Students will hear their admissions decision within 2 weeks of submitting their application. Competition rises as each week passes so we strongly recommend applying as soon as possible.
5. What is the time commitment?
Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle, not a side project. Full commitment for the 10 days, both in-person and virtually, is mandatory. We ask students to set aside a minimum of 15-20 hours during virtual periods. Prepare your schedule to be flexible around your QØ commitment and team.
6. Are there scholarships or tuition awards available?
Yes! Needs-based tuition scholarships are available; students interested in applying for financial aid will be prompted for further information once they begin the Startup Bootcamp application process. This year, Tuition scholarships will range from $250 - $1500. As a note, scholarships for room, board, and transportation are not available.
If you are interested in finding additional funding beyond QØ scholarships and tuition awards, we also have some information on how to navigate crowdfunding and local foundations.
7. How are teams formed?
During the opening weekend you will get a chance to meet other participants and share your big ideas. There will be a pitch out of whoever has an idea and is looking to form a team around it. The top ideas are those that attract enough interest and team members. We expect there to be around 10-15 teams with 3-5 people on each team.
